Carmelo Anthony calls Jeremy Lin's new deal 'ridiculous'

Carmelo Anthony earlier this week called Jeremy Lin’s new deal ridiculous after the Houston Rockets offered him a three-year, $25.1 million contract.

When asked about Lin’s new deal Carmelo Anthony responded to the press with, “It’s not up to me, it’s up to the organization to say they want to match that ridiculous contract that’s out there.” Personally I think that the offer wasn’t so high because of talent, but more so that the Knicks wouldn’t be able to match it. Lin will more than likely be replacing Kyle Lowry who was recently traded to the Toronto Raptors for Forward Gary Forbes and a future first round pick.

Now more than likely Jeremy Lin’s deal will not be matched by the New York Knicks but if they did happen to match it this would mean Anthony and Lin would be teammates again creating a sticky situation in New York that would be hard to clean up.
